The 2019 Food Drive

Using Our Trucks and Team to Help Neighbors

Moving companies regularly see unopened, nonperishable food that customers do not want to pack or transport. B2 Moving saw an opportunity to keep usable food out of the trash and put the company’s trucks, crews, and local relationships to work for the community.

During the 2019 holiday-season effort, B2 worked with Move For Hunger, Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, Harps, and local donors to collect, transport, and deliver more than 1,400 pounds of food. The project combined public donations with the logistics B2 already uses every day: boxes, labor, transportation, and careful coordination.

The result belonged to everyone who donated, helped organize the collection, made room at the store, loaded boxes, drove the shipment, and received the food for distribution.

“We believe doing good is good for business. B2 will always look for opportunities to use our people and resources to help others who need support.”

Reduce Waste When You Move

What to Do With Unopened Pantry Food

If you are preparing to move, decide what to transport, donate, or safely discard before packing day.

Check Local Donation Rules

Contact the receiving pantry or food bank before donating. Confirm current hours, drop-off procedures, accepted packaging, expiration-date rules, and whether glass containers are accepted.

Separate Safe Donations

Set aside unopened, shelf-stable items in sturdy boxes. Do not donate leaking, damaged, opened, recalled, or unsafe products.

Ask About Current B2 Availability

If B2 is handling your move, call 479-636-0612 before move day to ask whether pantry-donation boxing or transportation is currently available for your location and schedule.

Historical-program note: This page documents a 2019 community project. Donation partners, accepted items, pickup programs, and B2 transportation availability may change. Confirm current arrangements directly before relying on a donation pickup or delivery.
